Day 1: Catania
Arrival to the airport, meeting with your tour leader and transfer to the hotel. Check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 2: Etna & Taormina
Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to Etna Mount, one of the greatest tourist attractions of Sicily. Etna, named Mongibello,
is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. The bus will reach 1900 m, from there you can admire beautiful
landscapes and the extinct craters. Possibility to make the excursion to the top, 3000 m (to be paid on site): with the
cableway you will reach 2600 m, from there with the 4X4 vehicle you will reach 3000 m and with the help of an alpine
guide you will admire the active craters. Lunch in a typical restaurant to the foot of Etna. In the afternoon departure to
visit Taormina.

 

 

Day 3: Catania & Syracuse
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Catania, visit of the historical centre and the market of fish. Transfer to Syracuse.
Visit of the famous archaeological site Neapolis, where you will visit the Greek theatre, the Roman amphitheatre, and the
“Dionisio’s Ear”. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon visit of Ortigia: the heart of the city with the predominance of
medieval constructions and the baroque church. Visit of the VII-century cathedral that contains a Greek temple. Visit of
Palazzo, the fountain of Aretusa. Free time and return to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 4: The Northern Coast: Cefalù – Palermo
Breakfast in hotel and departure to Santo Stefano di Camastra: small town known for the handcraft production of
ceramics. Transfer to Castelbuono: visit to the historical centre with its churches and the castle of Ventimiglia. Lunch
along the way to Cefalù, in a typical restaurant with folklorist music and wine included. Arrival to Cefalù. Free time and
transfer to Palermo. Arrival to the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 5: Palermo
Breakfast in the hotel. Beginning of the visit of the city with a panoramic tour by bus. Visit to a typical market, visit to the
Cathedral. Visit to the “Palazzo dei Normanni” and “Cappella Palatina”, a chapel that preserves some byzantine mosaics
of the XII century. Visit of Monreale. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon visit of Palermo’s surroundings:
Mondello, Monte Pellegrino or free time. Dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 6: Erice – Selinunte – Agrigento
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Erice, small medieval suburb, far around about 100 km from Palermo. Here we find
the Castle Pepoli and the castle of Venus that contains some ruins devoted to the goddess. Departure to Selinunte and
lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to the archaeological site of Selinunte. Transfer to Agrigento. Arrival to
the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 7: Agrigento – Piazza Armerina – Taormina
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to visit the Valle dei Templi with its fabulous ruins and temples. Transfer to Piazza
Armerina. Lunch in restaurant. Visit to the Roman Villa del Casale, fabulous villa for its thirty rooms decorated by 3500
sqm of mosaics. Transfer to Taormina. Arrival to the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 8: Taormina
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Departure and end of services.
