Molise is situated in the South-central Italy and lies between the Apennine Mountain Chain and the Adriatic Sea. Nature, history, art and old traditions are the real treasures of this awesome region.
The National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise offers pristine landscapes: it is possible to see a wide range of animals and plant species, as the Marsican brown bear and the Italian wolf.
At the same time the coast hosts lovely sandy beaches, surrounded by the Mediterranean Scrub.
In this region the old traditions have survived: handicraft and old professions are still alive and practised by many people.

What to do:
Your journey in Molise must start from the town of Campobasso: steeped in history and culture, it is dominated by the amazing Monforte Castle. Other important art cities are Isernia and Agnone, that hand down valuable artisan activities.
A must-see for sports lovers is Campitello Matese, the largest ski resort in Molise that offers a great system of slopes, as well as the locality of Capracotta.
You will be in the heart of the nature, enjoying experiences like horseback riding along the “tratturi”, the migratory trails dating back to a thousand years, trekking in protected areas as the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise and water sports in seaside resort as Termoli and Campomarino.

What to taste:
In this agricultural land, regional food is based on locally-grown products.
You will taste many typical dishes: from the “pallottole”, round balls of egg and cheese, pasta and beans, to the “torcinelli”, rolled strips of lamb tripe.
In this region it is possible to find many high quality dairy products: “caciocavallo” cheese, “fior di latte” mozzarella from Boiano and pecorino sheep’s cheese, just to name a few.
Local wines are excellent too, especially Pentro di Isernia and Biferno.
